Job summary

Accurate Technology seeks a detail-oriented QC Inspector with experience in portable CMMs (Romer Arm) to support aerospace manufacturing. You will perform mechanical/dimensional inspections at receiving, in-process, and final stages to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer aerospace specifications.

You will read drawings and GD&T, operate Romer Arm and metrology tools, document FAIs, and maintain precise records while identifying nonconformances and supporting corrective

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• 2-5 years of experience using a Romer Arm or similar portable CMM in production.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Romer Arm startup checks (angular accuracy, scale bar) to ensure accurate measurements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections using Romer Absolute Arm and other metrology tools.
• Document First Article Inspections (FAI) using AS9102 forms and submit through Net-Inspect when required.
• Assist with inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height gages, and other precision tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, report nonconformances, and support root-cause and corrective actions.
• Ensure nonconforming products are clearly identified, segregated, and dispositioned (rework or scrap).
• Verify machine setups and first-piece inspections to support production quality.

Accurate Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector experienced with portable CMMs (Romer Arm) to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform mechanical and dimensional inspections - receiving, in-process, and final to ensure products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable aerospace requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily Romer Arm startup checks (angular accuracy checks, scale bar checks, etc.) to ensure accurate measurements.
• Read, understand, and accurately interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications, including GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections using a Romer Absolute Arm and other metrology tools.
• Document First Article Inspections (FAIs) using AS9102 forms and submit through Net-Inspect when required.
• Assist with inspections using micrometers, bore gages, calipers, height gages, and other precision tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, report nonconformances, and support root-cause and corrective actions.
• Ensure nonconforming products are clearly identified, properly segregated, and processed according to disposition (rework or scrap).
• Verify machine setups and first-piece inspections to support production quality.

What You'll Bring

• Strong ability to interpret blueprints, 3D models, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 aerospace First Article Inspection standards.
• Hands-on experience with Romer Arms and Verisurf (or similar metrology software).
• Proficiency with common inspection tools (height gages, gage blocks, micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation habits, and quality mindset.

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• 2-5 years of experience using a Romer Arm or similar portable CMM in production.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
