Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering in Shelby Charter Township, MI seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer to support dimensional inspection on the production floor. You will program and operate CMMs, perform 3D scanning and GD&T inspections, and read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Quality, Metrology, CMM inspection, or a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience programming and operating CMMs.
• Experience with 3D scanning is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting dimensional or manufacturing issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Familiarity with common automotive/manufacturing quality processes
• Comfortable spending time on the manufacturing floor

Preferred Background

• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing
• Stamping, welding, machining, or fabricated components
• Experience with CMM or scanning software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, PolyWorks, Geomagic, or similar
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, MSA, Gage R&R, and capability studies
• Engineering or technical degree preferred, but strong hands-on experience will also be considered
