Job summary

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. in San Francisco seeks an experienced project manager to lead cross-functional CMC development programs from early to late stages, including tech transfer and regulatory filings. You will drive risk mitigation and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely delivery.

The role reports to the VP of CMC Strategy and Operations, with onsite work three days per week. A strong background in cGMP and external partnerships is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 10+ years in CMC Development, Regulatory, Quality, Technical Operations, or related biotech/pharma functions with at least 5 years in project/program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional CMC development programs from early to late development, tech transfer, regulatory filings, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and execute integrated project plans with external partners, vendors, CMOs.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to support execution and decision-making.
• Facilitate communication across CMC functions to align priorities, timelines, risks, and resources.
• Perform critical path analyses to accelerate timelines and reduce risk.
• Standardize reporting and portfolio management across CMC teams.
• Partner with leadership to implement tools, systems, and processes for efficiency.
• Support annual planning and budgeting with resource forecasting and planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the broader CMC organization.
