Job summary

Bethany Medical is seeking a CMA/RMA to join our Mt. Airy clinic as a full-time or part-time Medical Assistant. The role includes patient interviews, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, spirometry, and data entry into the EMR.

Collaboration with providers and staff ensures high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience in family practice or internal medicine and certifications (CMA/RMA/NCMA/ABR‑OE) or a plan to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Certification as CMA/RMA or equivalent and obtain within 6 months if not yet certified.
• 1+ year experience in family practice, neurology, pain management, or internal medicine preferred.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient interviews and measure vital signs.
• Conduct phlebotomy, immunizations, and injections as directed.
• Record information on patients’ charts and enter data into EMR.
• Perform EKGs, spirometry, and specimen collection.
• Educate patients and support team communication.
• Maintain ongoing competency and skills assessment.
