Job summary

St. Joseph Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our Pain Clinic within the St. Joseph Medical Group.

The CMA will assist with screenings, clinical procedures, health education, and administrative tasks while coordinating care for diverse patient populations. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• CMA certification or equivalent required at hire.
• Current CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• One or more CMA certifications (AAMA/NHA/NCCT/NAHP/AMT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following established standards.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and more.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis if needed.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered.
• May perform routine tests such as EKGs.
• Schedule diagnostics and coordinate follow-ups.
• Communicate test results and care plan to patients.
