Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation seeks a medical assistant to perform patient care activities under supervision by a physician, APP, or RN, following established guidelines and standards. Assist with clinical tasks to support patient flow and care delivery.

Ideal candidates have a GED and completed a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or at least 1 year of related clinical experience. BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• No experience required or in lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN in accordance with guidelines and standards.
• Assist with clinical tasks and ensure patient comfort and safety under supervision.
