Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant at ThedaCare Berlin is responsible for delivering patient-centered care under supervision, documenting vitals, and preparing patients for examinations. The role supports a collaborative care team and uses electronic health records to ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification or be eligible for certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA).
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with patient-centered care and electronic health records (EHR) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patient and documents vital signs and pertinent health information.
• Obtains and prepares patient for examination; supports documentation in EHR.
• Assists in meeting care needs with the care team to ensure quality and safety of patient care.
• Assists in tests, procedures, and discharge planning as needed.
• Demonstrates professional relationships with patients, families, and care team.
