Overview

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient charting and prepare patient for examination.
• Assist the provider as needed with examinations and procedures.
• Assist in collecting laboratory specimens and performing tests on patients as ordered by the provider, or arrange for patient testing, admissions, and referrals.
• Enter and record patient information in charts accurately and concisely.

Qualifications

• LPN – Must be a graduate of an LPN program and hold a current license. Must have clinic practice experience, preferably with occupational health services.
• CMA – Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Requires knowledge of practice management systems, office automation skills, and extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10 coding. Must also have experience assisting physicians with patient care (vital signs, specimen collection, etc.).
• Clinic Tech – Must hold a current NC Paramedic or AEMT certification.
