Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA/RMA) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques for routine tests.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing, sterilization.
• Ability to document medical information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and document medical history in the EHR.
• Take vital signs and triage patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Administer immunizations and injections.
• Maintain logs, QA processes, and OSHA policies.
• Ensure accurate performance of EKGs.
• Assist physicians with procedures and exams.
• Process prior authorizations for medications.
• Handle phone triage and medication refills with pharmacies.
• Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
• Prepare exam rooms and manage supplies.
