Job summary

The Plaza at Lubbock in Lubbock, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our caring team. The position runs 2pm to 10pm, with double weekend shifts, at a facility dedicated to resident care and well-being.

You will administer oral and topical medications under a physician's order and supervision of a licensed nurse, following state and federal rules and facility policies. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide is required.
• State approved medication administration certification is required.
• Familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Strong observation skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments.
• Observes for and reports any reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with regulations and facility policy.
