Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support across hospital and clinic settings. The role includes taking histories, vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting physicians, and managing specimens and medications with attention to detail.

Ideal candidates will have an active CMA credential, BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Maintain patient records and scheduling, and coordinate referrals.
• Educate patients about medications, diets and follow-up care.
