Job summary

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Integrated Real Estate Group provides routine nursing care and medication administration for residents in our Texas communities, ensuring safety under the supervising nurse. This full-time role requires adherence to state regulations, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, record-keeping, inventory management, and supporting daily resident care routines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: CNA experience preferred.
• Certification: Certified Medication Aide program completion.
• Skills: Proficient nursing practices, medication administration, infection control.
• Language: English reading, speaking and writing required.
• Training: 12 hours in-service education annually.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor residents for adverse effects.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and changes in residents' conditions.
• Follow state regulations and facility policies for medication safety.
• Assist with laundry and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Support daily resident care routines and housekeeping assistance.
• Assist in orientation and development of new CMAs and CNAs.
• Observe residents and report relevant information; review care plans daily.

CMA / Certified Medication Aide, PRN
About the Role:
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides routine daily nursing care and medication administration for residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative support. This role is carried out in line with established procedures and under the guidance of the supervising nurse.
Responsibilities:

• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for any side effects, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of medication administration and document any changes in residents' conditions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow state regulations and facility policies to ensure medication safety and adherence to proper procedures.

• Additional Responsibilities: Assist with laundry as needed and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining medication supplies and report shortages or discrepancies as needed.
• Resident Care: Support daily resident care routines, including personal care and housekeeping assistance.
• Team Collaboration: Assist in the orientation and development of new CMAs and CNAs.
• Observation and Reporting: Observe residents' conditions and report relevant information; review care plans daily for any updates.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Conduct safety surveys, keep resident rooms tidy, and ensure linens are replaced as needed.
• Response to Requests: Promptly respond to resident call lights, addressing needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Professionalism and Confidentiality: Professionally conduct self, maintain confidentiality of resident care information, and adhere to facility policies.
• Attendance and Appearance: Follow the dress code and provide notice for any absences or tardiness.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Experience: Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

• Certification: Completion of a Certified Medication Aide program; must meet state-required continuing education requirements.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of nursing practices, with clinical competency in medication administration and infection control procedures.

• Language: Ability to read, speak, and write in English.

• Training: Completion of a minimum of 12 hours of in-service education annually required.
