Job summary

The Healthcare Resort of Topeka is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support nursing staff in medication administration, vital signs, and daily living assistance. The CMA ensures accurate documentation of dosages and times, and monitors residents for changes in condition.

This part-time role offers afternoon and overnight shifts at our Topeka facility with a focus on compassionate care, teamwork, and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required or clearly stated credentials.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with medication administration and documentation.
• Take vital signs and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.

Job Title: Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Skilled Nursing: Part-Time 4pm-10pm

Assisted Living: Part-Time 2pm-10pm and/or 10pm-6am Weekends Required

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. Additionally, the CMA takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The CMA must monitor patients to report changes in the patients’ conditions.
