Planet Fitness - PF Baseline Fitness in Fremont is seeking a Club Manager to oversee gym operations, ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club.

You will recruit, hire, train and supervise staff; manage front desk activities and tours; support members and staff; uphold brand standards, coach performance and handle onboarding, inventory, and policies to keep the club open and staffed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of equivalent managerial experience.
• Strong customer service skills and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and front desk duties familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Oversee member service to ensure a great customer experience.
• Lead front desk duties including tours, questions, and greetings.
• Support staff and club members.
• Maintain a positive club image and brand standards.
• Coach and counsel performance to meet company standards.
• Ensure opening/closing of the gym.
• Promote current marketing promotions to staff and members.
• Complete onboarding formalities for new hires in Paycom.
• Ensure club is open and staffed during all hours.

Job Title: Club Manager

Reports to: District Manager

Status: Full Time/Supervisor/Exempt/Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure positive member experience and a financially successful club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Member service oversight making sure all team members are providing a great customer service experience at all times.
• High involvement in all front desk related tasks: greeting and welcoming members, gym tours, member service issues/questions, etc.
• Provide support for team members and club members.
• Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
• Coaching and counseling performance to help achieve company standards.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym.
• Ensure staff are aware and trained on all current marketing promotions.
• Finish manager portion of onboarding, in Paycom, for all new hires.
• Ensure the club is open and staffed during all hours of business.
• Ensuring self and team members are implementing and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ordering supplies and tracking inventory.

Minimum Qualifications

• Honesty and good work ethic
• At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
