Qualifications

  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Superior problem-solving skills. Exceptional leadership and diplomacy skills.
  • A passion for health and fitness.

We are searching for a Club Manager to join our team! As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience, manage the hiring and training process for all club employees, lead the team positively and motivate with a focus on employee development, and ensure a financially successful club.

Responsibilities
Staff Management
  • Create staffing schedules ensuring all shifts are regularly covered.
  • Lead by example and maintain accountability for direct reports by training and coaching staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and submit all HR related forms in a timely manner.
  • Resolve employee issues or concerns professionally.
  • Manage disciplinary/termination activities.
  • Provide backup support for absent employees.
Customer Service / Front Desk Activities
  • Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service and making members feel comfortable and welcomed.
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point of sale system.
Member Accounts
  • Assist with new membership cards, changes of address, billing or payment questions using the POS system.
  • Authorize expenditures and refunds.
Club Cleanliness and Maintenance
  • Keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
  • Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep such as mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
  • Clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds regularly.
  • Maintain clean, stocked and clutter‑free restrooms by following routine cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure safety of employees, members and club property by determining when equipment or facilities need repair and communicating with Facilities Maintenance timely.
Miscellaneous
  • Make daily bank deposits.
  • Oversee ordering of club supplies using a specific budget based on club requirements.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators such as guest counts, cancellations, info calls (weekly, monthly, annually) and manage marketing efforts by ensuring staff is aware and trained on all marketing promotions.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current CPR Certification required.

Physical Demands / Requirements
  • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
