Job summary

Remington Hospitality in Anchorage is seeking a front-of-house associate responsible for cash handling and guest service duties. You will manage cash banks, process transactions, and ensure accuracy in every change given.

You will monitor MICROS POS setup, teach team members about the system, and maintain floor plans. The role requires attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and making accurate change.
• Ability to manage guest checks and prevent loss or theft.
• Familiarity with MICROS POS system.
• Ability to read floor plans and post host stand schedule.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and manage cash bank; handle cash transactions accurately and quickly.
• Control guest checks, collect payments, and count/change cash precisely; prevent loss.
• Verify MICROS system setup and be knowledgeable about MICROS menu.
• Prepare floor plan, assign side work, and post on the host stand.

Job description

• Obtain and assume responsibility for cash bank. Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly, carefully and responsibly.
• Control guest checks to prevent loss, theft or mishandling. Follow proper procedures with regard to check issuance and control. Collect payment from guest/server. Accurately and efficiently count and give change to guest/server. Ensure correct amount of cash is given on money transactions.
• Check MICROS machines to make sure they are set up to the proper menu. Have complete knowledge of MICROS system (or register).
• Fill out floor plan by checking station rotation chart. Assign side work schedule on floor plan. Post floor plan at host stand.
