Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to operate and optimize cloud platforms, automate infrastructure, and support mission-focused teams on a large government program. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools to drive secure, reliable cloud delivery.

The role requires 4+ years of cloud ops experience, secret clearance, and the ability to obtain AWS/Azure certifications within weeks of hire. A strong foundation in Linux/Windows and monitoring is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker or Kubernetes).
• Experience with automation tools and scripting (GitLab, GitHub; Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM).
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years cloud exp or Master’s with 1+ years cloud exp; certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS CloudOps, or Azure Architect Expert within 60 days; DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III within 30 days.
