Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced CloudOps/SRE Platform Engineer in the United States to join our fintech-focused client projects. The role emphasizes reliability, scalable infrastructure, and automation.

You will manage Kubernetes in production, build and scale AWS cloud infrastructure, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive CI/CD automation. Strong Linux, scripting, and collaboration with software teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production.
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Terraform and IaC proficiency.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation experience.
• Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Strong Linux, containers, and cloud-native infra knowledge.
• Experience with distributed systems and modern infrastructure practices.
• Exposure to monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting production environments.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
• Automation-first mindset and strong problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience within fintech or financial services environments is a plus.

Job description

• 3-7 years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience managing and supporting Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling cloud infrastructure within AWS.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience working with distributed systems and modern infrastructure practices.
• Exposure to monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting production environments.
• Ability to partner closely with software engineering teams to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an automation-first mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
