As a Cloud Virtualization Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the infrastructure of an on-premises cloud environment. The candidate shall work closely with the team to ensure the integrity and security of the infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in creating, managing, and monitoring ESX hosts and the environment in a secure facility.

Although the job responsibilities vary from one company to other, however, the concept remains the same for any organization. As a cloud virtualization engineer, you are required to understand the pros and cons of setting-up and running software in the environment.

The position includes these standard job duties

• To configure ESX hosts to be added into the datastores
• To implement security policies and to secure method access
• To perform tasks to optimize performance of ESX host and maintain clusters
• To work closely with vendor technical consultants and strategic partners to resolve issues
• To manage customer account satisfaction from a technical standpoint
• To deliver customized cloud virtualization from different vendors including VMware, Microsoft, Dell, and HP

Experience

• Proven experience of 10 years IT experience with 5 years in Virtualization
• Hands‑on experience provisioning ESX hosts.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, Cloud Direct Virtual Datacenters, vROPs).
