CACI International Inc. is offering a paid Summer 2027 Systems Engineer Intern position in Ashburn, VA.

The role focuses on system/software engineering support for NCAPS contracts, including cloud and virtualization integration, provisioning automation, and compatibility with containers and microservices. You will work with a team to translate requirements into hardware/software specifications, analyze cloud strategies, and contribute to operations and lifecycle cost considerations while gaining

Qualifications

Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related area.
Knowledge of cloud strategy and program architecture.
Responsible for gathering system requirements working with application architects and owners.
Responsible for generating scripts and templates required for automatic provisioning of resources.
Debugging technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers, microservices, etc.

Responsibilities

Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application & data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Evaluates and reports on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
