Job summary

AppGate seeks a Cloud Systems Engineer to design and engineer cloud-based services and infrastructure, owning stability, performance, and continuous improvement across distributed environments. You will drive scalable cloud architectures and oversee integration, verification, and health monitoring of cloud systems, including VM health and performance metrics.

Qualifications include a4+ years of relevant experience, IAT-2, cloud certifications, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree (AS/AA) with minimum 6 years of experience.
• High School diploma/GED with minimum 8 years of experience.
• IAT Level II (IAT-2) certification.
• One or more cloud certifications.
• Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer cloud-based services, systems, and infrastructure that meet mission and technical requirements.
• Drive the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems to support scaling and reliable operations.
• Develop and evaluate cloud system architectures, interfaces, and end-to-end solutions spanning hardware, software, networks, virtualized environments, and cloud services.
• Perform system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
• Create engineering mechanisms to monitor and manage the health of distributed cloud systems and virtual machines.
• Use trends, metrics, and performance data to identify improvements to existing frameworks, tools, processes, and cloud services.
• Own and resolve systems functionality, performance, configuration, and integration issues.

About the Role

The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for the systems engineering, design, integration, and technical development of cloud-based services and solutions. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience; or an Associate's degree (AS/AA) and a minimum of 6 years; or a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years.
• IAT Level II (IAT-2) certification.
• One or more cloud certifications.
• Active Secret clearance.

Compensation

Base Salary: $135,000 to $150,000
