Job Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect with experience in cloud infrastructure to engineer and support public, private, and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of cloud hosts including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about the most recent updates and developments and act as an advisor to customers regarding cloud management strategies to take advantage of cloud computing benefits (e.g., unrestricted workloads, scalable workstations, pay‑only‑for‑what‑you‑use).
• Work with the IT Security team to manage and maintain cloud systems security for data and network resources.
• Engineer customer‑premise applications and systems interconnected to cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system security maintenance.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of the total system.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers (as needed).

Qualifications

• Experience and complete understanding of the technology required for cloud computing.
• Experience and skills to migrate applications to the cloud.
• Ability to build relationships between customers and team members.
• Ability and knowledge to integrate services and tools across networks, data processing, and other areas.
• Experience implementing security information and event management to protect customer assets.
• Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider service‑level agreement requirements for AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Python, PHP, Java, Node, and Ruby on Rails.
• Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of work experience, or equivalent experience.
