Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud System Administrator to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves. This role uses a cloud-based platform with microservices and containerized tech to enable secure, scalable, and resilient operations.

The engineer will work within a collaborative team, partnering with cross-agency stakeholders to design, develop, and sustain enterprise operational capabilities in support of national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, CS, or mathematics from an accredited college.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Security+ or comparable required.
• Cloud system/service certification required.
• Education equivalency: 7 years Linux SysAdmin with cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice software solution.
• Support the software engineering team with design, development, testing, and sustainment of products.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews and assist in shaping approaches and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing and production issues.
• Support customers across the customer mission space.
• Collaborate with team members to review and refine software and system updates.

Basic Qualifications:

• Five (5)years’ experienceisrequired with three (3) years being cloud experience.Abachelor’s degree in engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science,Mathematics isrequiredfromanaccredited college or university.
  • Education Equivalency: Seven (7) years of Linux Systems Administration experience, with three (3) years of cloud may be substituted for the required bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Security+ plus or comparable is required.
• Cloud System/Service Certification isrequired.

About the Role:

This role supports a cloud-based platform leveraging microservices and containerized technologies to enable security, scalable, and resilient operations.

The engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, partnering with cross-agency stakeholders to design, develop, and sustain enterprise operational capabilities in support of national security missions. Team is sourcing for a System Administrator that will join the Operations team. There is NO on call for this operations team.

What You’ll do:

• Key performer on the Operations team to monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice built software solution
• Support the software engineering team with their design, development, testing, and sustainment of the software products.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews, and assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing, and production issues
• Support customers across the customer mission space
• Collaborate with team members to review and refine software, and system updates
