Job summary

CACI International Inc. is hiring a Cloud Systems Administrator to support our National Security Mission.

You will oversee system administration, integration, maintenance and customer support on Enterprise Development, Test and Production systems with emphasis on AWS, OpenText, PeopleSoft, and Corporate Business systems. You will build and maintain cloud-based apps on Windows and Linux, manage OpenText, and handle batch processing and security compliance while seeking cost-optimized solutions

Qualifications

  • Three years of related experience in IT or cloud administration.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Strong technical background with cloud infrastructure, IT security principles, compute, storage, and transport.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Interpersonal communication, problem solving, organizational, customer-oriented, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning team, under supervision or independently.
  • Must be available for after hours and on-call support.
  • TS/SCI clearance and ability to successfully complete a polygraph.
  • Visual acuity to work on a computer for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based applications on Windows and Linux using EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS.
  • Manage and administer the OpenText applications; perform upgrades and optimize configurations.
  • Coordinate pay, benefits, time and labor, and batch processes.
  • Resolve complex system failures across applications, PKI security, and PeopleSoft batch processes; address incident tickets.
  • Automate critical production processes through cloud services, applications, OS, and scripting.
  • Improve performance, availability, and security with innovative cloud and cost-optimized solutions.
  • Execute cloud infrastructure modifications with zero downtime and impact.
  • Coordinate maintenance with customers to balance operational and security requirements.
  • Monitor systems, security, and logs to mitigate risk and maintain NIST/IC compliance.
  • Maintain coordination with technical leads on best practices and standards.
  • Perform backups and restores of operating, files, and databases; manage user accounts and file systems.

The Opportunity

Serve as a Cloud Systems Administrator supporting our National Security Mission. You will oversee and provide system administration, integration, maintenance and customer support on the customer’s Enterprise Development, Test, and Production systems. This position has a special emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenText, PeopleSoft, and Corporate Business systems.

Responsibilities
  • Build, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based applications running on Windows and Linux operating systems and leveraging cloud services such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS. Provision stable AMIs, perform software installations, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Manage and administer the OpenText suite of applications. Perform upgrades, optimize configurations, realizing efficiencies where possible.
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day pay, benefits, time and labor, and job announcement file transfers and batch processes.
  • Resolve a wide range of complex system failures - from application and PKI to security and PeopleSoft batch processes - addressing incident tickets in accordance with established procedures and Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs).
  • Automate critical production processes through a variety of industry standard methods – cloud services, application, operating system, and scripting.
  • Achieve optimum system performance, availability, and security by assessing, identifying, implementing, and managing innovative technical, cloud, and cost-optimized solutions.
  • Execute cloud infrastructure modifications (i.e., storage, load balancing, instance resizing/tuning) with zero downtime and customer impact.
  • Coordinate systems maintenance in advance with customer and program offices to ensure balance between operational requirements and critical infrastructure, application, and security modifications.
  • Proactively monitor and review systems, security, and application logs, using a variety of methods, to mitigate risk and maintain compliance with NIST and IC directives.
  • Maintain close coordination with technical leads to maintain/adopt industry best practices/standards.
  • Perform backups and restores of operating, file, and database systems using established methods. Maintain user accounts and file systems
Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree in CS, IS, engineering, or other technical discipline, and three years experience.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of cloud infrastructure, IT security principles, compute, storage, and transport.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Interpersonal communication, problem solving, organizational, customer-oriented, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning team, under the supervision of a technical subject matter expert, as well as independently.
  • Must be available for after hours and on-call support.
  • Visual acuity to work on a computer for extended periods of time, ability to move from one workstation to another, and communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • TS/SCI clearance and ability to successfully complete a polygraph.
Desired
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
  • Experience with the customer’s programs and facilities.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$75,200-$158,100
