Job summary

J5 Consulting in Maryland seeks a proficient software and cloud engineer to operate and support an AWS hosted application and its databases. You will fix bugs, evolve features, and ensure policy compliance while following configuration management practices.

The role emphasizes full-stack development with Vue and FastAPI on PostgreSQL, cloud infra-as-code, containerization with Podman, and scalable data solutions in a government-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in software design and development using CI/CD tools for microservices on a cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in full stack web app development using Vue, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL (AWS RDS).
• Experience in cloud infrastructure-as-code networking and service administration.
• Experience in implementing cloud infrastructure resiliency and on-demand scaling.
• Experience in UI engineering and usability standards.

Responsibilities

• Support operating and maintaining an AWS hosted application and databases.
• Implement bug fixes and enhance the application per user feedback and Sponsor guidance.
• Adhere to IT/security policies and Contractor CM processes; mitigate risk where needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data solutions and reporting capabilities.
