Job summary

Node.Digital is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support a U.S. Government customer in Arlington, VA, providing onsite incident response, architecture design, and migration of on-prem capabilities to AWS.

The role requires an active clearance and strong AWS experience, plus collaboration with DevOps to enhance CI/CD and ensure security. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of cloud design are preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active clearance or ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• 5+ years designing cloud architectures, preferably AWS.
• 8+ years directly relevant experience.
• Strong AWS service expertise (EC2,S3,VPC,IAM,Lambda,CF).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CF).
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices.
• Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and enhance cloud-based architectures to support operational requirements.
• Create scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for rapid deployment across mission scenarios.
• Lead migration of on-prem capabilities to AWS.
• Develop automation frameworks for provisioning and deployments.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and docs.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate new cloud services and technologies for operations.
• Provide architectural reviews and guidance to implementation teams.
• Support troubleshooting during active operations.
