Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Virginia-based team. The role involves designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP, managing cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM), and aligning with security/compliance requirements.

You will lead full lifecycle system development, work with structured/unstructured data, and integrate ML workflows within data platforms. Strong collaboration and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with a polygraph.
• Experience with SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL development and querying.
• Ability to work with JSON and XML formats.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, WebStorm, and notebook-based development.
• Hands-on experience designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Configure and maintain cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
• Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking and performance optimization.
• Systems architecture, virtualization (VMware), and deployment.
• Lead full lifecycle systems development (design, test, integration).
• Familiarity with ICD 503 and A&A for secure system accreditation.
• Identity lifecycle management and enterprise IT integration.
• Cybersecurity fundamentals (DNS, routing, VPNs, certificates).
• A&A workflows security controls across cloud/on-premise.
• Certificate Authorities and secure authentication protocols.
• SOCs/Forensic tools, graph/search databases queries.
• ML models with TensorFlow/PyTorch/SageMaker.
• Unsupervised learning and feature engineering at scale.

Required Skills

• Familiarity with Certificate Authorities and secure authentication protocols.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly desirable.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools like Spark, NiFi, and Pentaho.
• Proficiency in data modeling, governance, and cataloging across structured and unstructured datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch, Neo4j, and other graph or search databases.
• Ability to transform and enrich data for analytics using Python, SQL, and cloud‑native tools.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SageMaker.
• Familiarity with unsupervised learning techniques and feature engineering for large‑scale datasets.
• Ability to integrate ML workflows into data platforms and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and modern AI‑driven analytics is a plus.
• Full‑stack development experience across desktop, web, and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with front‑end frameworks like React and back‑end tools including REST APIs and containerized services.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines for agile software delivery.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards.
• Experience managing Microsoft Office 365, Windows environments, and endpoint configuration tools (MECM, GPO).
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and maintain compliance with enterprise security policies.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DHCP, and SQL Server in enterprise settings.
• Understanding of sponsor‑specific systems and mission environments is highly valued.
• Strong technical writing skills for SOPs, system documentation, and stakeholder briefings.
• Experience using Confluence, JIRA, and other collaboration platforms for task tracking and reporting.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Proven success in cross‑functional team environments and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and BI platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with forensic analysis tools and graph database queries.
