Job summary

GoodData.AI is seeking a Cloud Solution Engineer to join the Infrastructure team. The role focuses on cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud deployments with AWS and Azure.

You will design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure while collaborating with Professional Services and other teams. Ideal candidates will have strong IaC skills, experience with observability tooling, and a passion for AI-augmented engineering.

Qualifications

• Experienced with Kubernetes and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure).
• Proactive learner with a problem-solving mindset.
• Effective communicator for cloud/Kubernetes concepts.

• Strong advocate for AI-augmented engineering.
• 2+ years operating production environments in cloud/Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools to monitor cloud-native systems.
• IaC background with Terraform/Helm/GitOps.
• Ability to write technical articles and case studies.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration, installation, and operation of our cloud-native platform within existing ecosystems.
• Contribute to the evolution of our platform by improving Helm charts, Terraform providers, observability dashboards, and documentation.
• Assist in SaaS development by collaborating with infrastructure teams on AWS, Azure, and Terraform.
• Advance Kubernetes operations to optimize Kubernetes infrastructure and ecosystem.
• Leverage observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Tempo) to gain insights for the team and customers.
• Leverage AI-powered tools daily to accelerate infrastructure operations and troubleshooting.

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Engineer to join our Infrastructure team, where you’ll work hands‑on with clouds like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes, collaborating closely with our Professional Services department. In this role, you’ll focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing our cloud‑native platform and supporting complex environment configurations. What will you do?

• Support the integration – Support the integration, installation, and operation of our cloud‑native platform within their existing ecosystems, ensuring smooth deployments.
• Contribute to the Evolution – Contribute to the evolution of our platform by improving Helm charts, Terraform providers, observability dashboards, and documentation.
• Assist in SaaS Development – Collaborate with our infrastructure teams to evolve our SaaS platform, and assist in designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, and our Terraform ecosystem.
• Advance Kubernetes Operations – Improve and optimize our Kubernetes infrastructure and ecosystem, built on top of various CNCF projects, Flux GitOps, and GitHub Actions, ensuring efficient and automated operations.
• Leverage Observability – Utilize our Grafana, Loki, Mimir, and Tempo observability stack to gain deep insights into our cloud‑native platform, helping both our team and our customers unlock its full potential.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools and assistants – Leverage AI‑powered tools and assistants daily to accelerate infrastructure operations, automate routine tasks, and streamline coding and troubleshooting.

About you

• Experienced at Kubernetes and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure), with a drive to deepen expertise in networking, security, and automation.
• A proactive learner with a problem‑solving mindset, eager to tackle technical challenges and optimize cloud‑native environments while growing with the team.
• Effective communicator capable of explaining technical concepts related to cloud ecosystems and Kubernetes to support customer success during implementations.
• A team player with a proactive approach, collaborate proactively with solution architects and engineers to ensure smooth integrations and drive impactful results.
• A strong advocate for AI‑augmented engineering, comfortable integrating AI tools into your daily workflow to maximize efficiency and problem‑solving.

It is nice if you have

• Experience with observability tools like Grafana, Loki, Mimir, and Tempo to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve cloud‑native systems.
• A strong Infrastructure as Code background, comfortable working with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tools for reproducible and scalable infrastructure.
• The ability to write technical articles, blog posts, and case studies, sharing insights and best practices with the broader community.
• 2+ years of experience operating production environments in the cloud or Kubernetes, focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Experience with AI‑integrated development workflows or building/using AI agents to enhance productivity.
