Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is seeking a Solution Architect for AWS & Azure in Irving, TX. This hybrid role focuses on defining target-state architectures across cloud, infra, and platform engineering, with leadership responsibilities over a growing team of architects and engineers.

You will design secure reference architectures, establish standards, and drive DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps, Harness, and GitLab. Strong communication and executive collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and own target-state architecture for cloud, infra, and platform engineering across AWS and Azure.
• Design scalable, secure reference architectures for networking, storage, identity, and container/orchestration platforms.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails for IaC, cloud landing zones, and platform services.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and modernize the tech stack.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance to align with enterprise standards.
• Guide CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps across the organization using Azure DevOps, Harness, and GitLab.
• Define architecture for embedding security into SDLC with SAST, DAST tooling.
• Partner with platform teams to design self-service infra and developer enablement.
• Champion policy-as-code and compliance automation across cloud environments.
• Define observability standards using New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog.
• Design monitoring, alerting, and incident response to improve reliability.
• Lead SRE principles including SLIs/SLOs and capacity planning.
• Build and mentor a team of architects and engineers.
• Align architecture with business priorities and communicate risks clearly.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party tools.
