Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a Cloud Software Development Engineer within the System Simulation and Modeling (SSM) organization. You will design, develop, and optimize software that enables next-generation platforms before silicon is available, contributing to high-fidelity development environments and shift-left solutions across Intel product lines.

Collaborate with firmware, OS, architects, silicon designers, and software teams to accelerate firmware and software development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in software development or related field.
• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in software development or related field.
• PhD with 1+ years of experience in software development or related field.
• Experience with software development in large-scale development environments.
• C++ and Python programming experience.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and system software concepts.
• Experience with cloud-native development, distributed systems, Kubernetes, containers, or modern DevOps practices.
• Experience applying AI/ML technologies to software engineering workflows or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, validate, and optimize software solutions supporting simulation, system modeling, automation, and cloud-based development environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, and SDK requirements and deliver shift-left development solutions.
• Develop scalable software and automation frameworks to improve developer productivity and product readiness.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues involving system software, simulation environments, firmware, and hardware-software interactions.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, automation, and scalability across development workflows.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.
