Job summary

SMX is seeking Software Engineers at junior to SME levels to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud solutions for Air Force cloud projects. The role emphasizes cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle, with a focus on automation, security, and integration with client and vendor teams.

Candidates should have DoD cloud experience, security clearance, and DoD 8570–compliant certification such as Sec+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification; 1–3 years for junior, 4+ for mid, 8+ for senior, 16+ for SME.
• Experience in a software engineering field and cloud-based systems.
• DoD/air force cloud program experience and security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize secure software in AWS/Azure/Google/Oracle clouds.
• Engage with clients and vendors; contribute to technical discussions.
• Define capabilities to meet customer requirements and service objectives.
• Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring using DevOps.
• Develop methods and solutions for cloud environments; support DoD cloud projects.
