Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Cloud Software Engineer III (Hybrid) to join our cloud engineering team. This role focuses on AWS-based architectures with planned Oracle Cloud initiatives, contributing to design, development, and onboarding of teams to the cloud.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with architecture and other teams in an agile setting to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions for mission-critical production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field
• 7+ years of progressive cloud engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Hands-on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, EKS) and OCI experience
• Experience with cloud networking, security architecture, and hybrid connectivity
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform strongly preferred) and CI/CD/DevOps
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (NERC CIP, SOX)

Responsibilities

• The team is part of the Cloud engineering group and primarily uses AWS.
• Onboard other teams to Cloud and support the move to Oracle Cloud.
• Collaborate with architecture to design the implementation and work on agile stories.
• Participate in 3-month PI planning and coordinate with lead cloud engineers on tasks.
• Ensure production systems meet high availability and reliability standards.

Cloud Software Engineer III (Hybrid)

Primary Location: St. Louis, Missouri

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Cloud Software Engineer III for our premier client in St. Louis, Missouri.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of progressive cloud engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated hands‑on expertise with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, EKS, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) (Compute, Networking, Object Storage, IAM, OKE, etc.).
• Proven experience supporting mission‑critical production systems with high availability requirements.
• Strong background in Linux and Windows server administration.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security architecture, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, FastConnect).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform strongly preferred).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (NERC CIP, SOX, or similar).

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Must‑Have Skills: OCI, AWS.
• Nice‑to‑have: Hands‑on recent experience using Oracle Cloud implementation.

What You’ll Do
