Job summary

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team as a Level 2 professional. You will build distributed applications and RESTful services in Java, C or C++ against large-scale data using Hadoop, HDFS and Accumulo.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in at least two languages, several years in Unix/Linux environments, and hands-on experience with NoSQL distributed systems, Map/Reduce, and RESTful services. TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years programming in at least two of Java, C and/or C++ (within the last 7 years).
• 3+ years designing/developing apps in Windows or UNIX/Linux (within the last 5 years).
• 3+ years with OpenSource NoSQL products for distributed big data (HBase, Accumulo, BigTable).
• 1 year with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive and/or Pig (within the last 3 years).
• 1 year experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Experience with designing requirements for OO systems; RESTful services experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team!

Specifically, we are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer (Skill Level 2) to build distributed applications and RESTful services in Java, C or C++ against large-scale data in Hadoop, HDFS and Accumulo.

Qualifications

Required

• Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with at least two (2) of the following languages: Java, C and/or C++
• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment
• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo and/or Big Table
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive and/or Pig
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design for one (1) or more object-oriented systems
• Demonstrated experience developing Restful services
• Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • An associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and two (2) years programming experience, or five (5) years programming experience, may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph

• Demonstrated experience with CLOUDBASE internals, to include configuring, tuning and testing CLOUDBASE in many configurations (>200 node clusters)
• Demonstrated experience with COPILOT, PRESSUREWAVE and/or the R6 Cloud, and/or the installation, configuration and tuning of the same
• Demonstrated experience with LDAP protocol configuration and management
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics that discover and exploit social networks, and analytics within a heterogeneous schema environment
• Demonstrated experience documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, data element dictionaries, software application program interfaces and other technical specifications
• Demonstrated experience with linguistics (grammar, morphology, concepts) and/or with Rosette Base Linguistics software for Chinese and/or Arabic
