Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer, Level 1, at Fort Meade, Maryland. This full-time role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with cloud experience.

The position focuses on building high‑performance cloud software, including data repositories, analytics, and scalable cloud services. The candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain cloud-native solutions, working across distributed file systems,

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and four years of cloud domain experience.
A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer, CompTIA Cloud+ (Cloud+), AWS, or Microsoft Azure certifications may substitute for one year of cloud experience.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, integrate and test new features for cloud native services.
Conduct containerization and deployment training with hands-on exercises.
Develop API-based interfaces to support search and presentation of data.
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Write and review software and system documentation.
Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
Assist with test procedures and validation of software components.
