Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking Cloud Software Engineers to design, develop, test, and sustain cloud-based applications and distributed computing solutions. You will work on high-performance software using modern cloud technologies, automation, and data platforms in mission-critical environments.

Opportunities range from hands-on cloud app development to advanced cloud engineering supporting large-scale data processing, information retrieval, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Four additional years of cloud experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Certifications such as Cloudera, CompTIA Cloud+, AWS, or Azure may count toward experience.
• For Level 1: Four years of relevant cloud domain experience.
• For Level 2: Eight years of relevant cloud domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance needs.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance cloud-based applications and services.
• Debug existing software and resolve defects to improve functionality and performance.
• Integrate software into new systems and operating environments.
• Design and implement database interfaces and complex query solutions.
• Develop algorithms to meet system performance and scalability requirements.
• Write and maintain software documentation.
• Collaborate with users, system engineers, and stakeholders to analyze workflows and develop solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-performance cloud-native applications.
• Utilize cloud technologies including containers, orchestration, serverless, data pipelines, automation, and monitoring.
• Apply secure development practices and configuration management.
• Participate in testing, validation, integration, sustainment, and troubleshooting.
