Amazon.com Services LLC is offering a Software Development Apprenticeship in the United States for U.S. citizens who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including Reserves and spouses.

The 12-month program provides on-the-job training, shadow opportunities, and industry-recognized certifications to develop software development skills within AWS. Apprentices will receive training and mentorship with benchmarks for compensation increases, with the potential to join as a Software Development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or related STEM fields with recent conferral date or expected conferral date 2026.
• Graduate of Skillstorm, WA2VETS, or MSSA with eligible conferral date and either a CS/engineering degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with programming languages is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month on-the-job training program combining AWS internal training with shadow opportunities.
• Develop software development skills and work toward joining as a Software Development Engineer.
• Contribute to cloud computing projects and learn innovative cloud solutions.
