Job summary

The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is seeking a Security Analyst I to support information security applications, present cybersecurity metrics, and help evolve CHIA’s secure cloud environment. The role becomes a security engineer over time and includes audits, risk assessments, incident response, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT security field or equivalent.
• Associate degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Cloud security reporting and hardening of assets.
• Mine and normalize security metrics for enterprise reports.
• Coordinate cyber security reports, alarms and notifications.
• Administer privileged monitoring of agency IT systems.
• Support risk assessments, vulnerability and incident response.
• Conduct threat research and update defense-in-depth strategies.
• Assist in IT audits and policy compliance checks.
• Analyze malware and suggest anti-malware improvements.
• Participate in annual cyber security awareness training.
• Maintain security systems and vet new software.
• Assist with Azure cloud security configurations.
