Job summary

Deloitte’s Cyber practice in the United States seeks a cloud security-focused consultant to help clients secure Azure environments and manage cyber risk across governance, identity, and data protection.

You will design and implement cloud security controls, perform assessments, and deliver technical reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, design, or cloud security implementation.
• 4+ years of experience designing enterprise cloud security architectures and strategies.
• 4+ years of experience with Azure Policy, Terraform, or JSON-based infrastructure configuration.
• 3+ years with CNAPP/CSPM/CWPP technologies.
• Experience architecting security controls on Microsoft Azure including AI services.
• Ability to travel ~50% depending on client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Azure cloud cyber risk engagements across governance, identity, app security, platform as a service security, infrastructure security, AI security, security monitoring, resilience and data protection.
• Perform cloud security assessments, solution design, implementations, health checks, and post-implementation reviews across Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Work with clients to assess security requirements, identify risks, and recommend cloud security configurations and remediation actions.
• Develop project deliverables including assessment reports, architecture diagrams, technical recommendations, compliance reporting and remediation documentation.
• Contribute to business development, internal training, and practice development activities related to Microsoft cloud security services.

Work you'll do

• Supporting delivery of Azure cloud cyber risk engagements across governance, identity, application security, platform as a service security, infrastructure security, artificial intelligence security, security monitoring, resilience, and data protection

• Performing cloud security assessments, solution design, implementations, health checks, and post-implementation reviews across Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 environments

• Working directly with clients to assess security requirements, identify risks, and recommend cloud security configurations and remediation actions

• Developing project deliverables, including assessment reports, architecture diagrams, technical recommendations, compliance reporting, and remediation documentation

• Contributing to business development, internal training, technical research, and other practice development activities related to Microsoft cloud security services

Includes security architecture, secure development and deployment, end-to-end cyber cloud capabilities, application security, and security for emerging technologies and connected products.

Qualifications

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, solution design, or cloud security implementation, including hands-on design and implementation of cloud security solutions in Azure, public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud environments

• 4+ years of experience designing enterprise cloud security architectures and strategies

• 4+ years of experience with Azure Policy, Terraform, or JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)-based infrastructure configuration

• 3+ years of experience with cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP), cloud security posture management (CSPM), or cloud workload protection platform (CWPP) technologies

• Experience architecting security controls on Microsoft Azure, including Azure artificial intelligence services such as Microsoft Foundry or Azure OpenAI, covering data protection, identity and access management, and model scanning

• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

  Preferred:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or Information Technology

• Experience in a consulting role

• Microsoft certification in Azure or Security, including AZ-500, AZ-204, SC-900, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, SC-500, AI-300, AI-103, or AI-200

• Cybersecurity certification such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

• Experience with identity and access management technologies and services

• Experience with Azure data, analytics, or artificial intelligence and machine learning services

• The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,400 to $207,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
