About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, highly motivated Cloud & Security Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives, lead complex cloud security engineering and oversee security operations. You will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud security baselines, container security and CNAPP platforms across multi-cloud environments, while actively collaborating with senior leadership, project managers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment, Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives and drive project delivery.
• Communicate project risks, security strategies, and incident statuses clearly to executive management to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks and strategies for security operations and secure data communication protocols.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity regulations and standards, providing regular compliance and performance reports (including KPIs) to stakeholders.

Security Operations (SOC) & Threat Management

• Oversee SOC operations, ensuring the team is equipped with current tools, technologies, and processes for continuous monitoring and threat response.
• Design and execute advanced threat detection and incident response protocols to ensure rapid identification, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
• Mentor security operations professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence through targeted training and development.

Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security baselines, guardrails, and controls across multi-cloud environments (compute, network, storage, and identity services).
• Define and implement container security requirements (including Kubernetes) across multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and associated security tools.
• Translate cloud security standards and architectural requirements into enforceable technical controls, governance processes, and automated engineering solutions.
• Oversee the integration of physical security measures with cybersecurity protocols for comprehensive infrastructure protection.

Requirements & Qualifications

Top Core Requirements

• Cloud Security: Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and securing multi-cloud platforms and architecture.
• Container Security: Proven experience securing containerized workloads and environments (Kubernetes).
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting abilities to build security automation and scalable technical controls.

Experience & Education

• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering or directly related roles.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience/training).
• Advanced degree preferred.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their native security features.
• Practical knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
• Hands‑on expertise in identity and access management (IAM), workload protection, and cloud-native security controls.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Prior experience in the Airline industry.
