Ardent Principles, Inc. is seeking a mission‑focused Cyber Security Engineer in Herndon, VA to evaluate cloud architectures and collaborate with cloud providers. The role includes security assessments, TEMs, and continuous monitoring across AWS/Azure/Oracle Cloud/GCP, leveraging Rapid7, Nessus, and Qualys to maintain compliance.

You will manage POA&Ms, produce program metrics, and support leadership with technical reports and briefings to drive secure, high‑impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Experience evaluating cloud architectures and cloud service providers.
• Ability to design, review, and assess systems built on AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or GCP.
• Familiarity with RMF/A&A processes and security control packages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Facilitate TEMs with cloud service providers to review cloud architectures.
• Design and review cloud-based systems across multiple providers.
• Monitor and analyze security findings using common tools.
• Track and close POA&Ms and maintain compliance dashboards.
• Prepare technical reports, program highlights, and leadership briefings.
