Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Junior Cloud Security Engineer to secure, harden, and maintain compliance for cloud platforms across secure networks. The role supports OSINT-focused mission systems and requires TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include security assessments, managing Kubernetes security, CI/CD security integration, and developing ATO packages in line with NIST and ICD guidelines. On-site in Bethesda, MD with first shift.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years in the field (or 5 years if no degree).
• 1+ years cloud experience with AWS services.
• Experience securing Kubernetes platforms and CI/CD integrations.
• Knowledge of RMF, vulnerability management, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide security expertise for cloud and cloud-native environments.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis for cloud systems.
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized apps; integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
