Job summary

Google Cloud's Security team in the United States seeks a Security Engineer to protect networks, systems and data. You will collaborate with software engineers to identify and fix security flaws and to own incident responses across Google Cloud.

You will conduct security reviews, threat modeling and vulnerability research, and help shape the security strategy across multiple domains including web apps and data protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling.
• 2 years of security engineering, computer/network security, or security protocols.
• 2 years of coding in one or more general purpose languages.

Responsibilities

• Perform security reviews and reproduce vulnerabilities; design secure protocols and systems; write tests and fuzzers.
• Review operations and provide security guidance for engineers and staff.
• Drive defense in depth and security-by-default in designs and engagements.
• Identify vulnerabilities with reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis.
• Respond to vulnerabilities with repros, mitigations, and hardening; shape Google Cloud security strategy.
