Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support a Federal Government client. The role emphasizes compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls, with responsibilities spanning IAM, security monitoring, and cloud-native security solutions.

You will develop and maintain SSP/SAR/POA&M, configure IAM and RBAC, and ensure cloud operations adhere to DoD security requirements while leveraging AWS/Azure serverless architectures and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience developing secure web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular; API development with REST/GraphQL.
• Experience with AWS and Azure including serverless architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
• Desirable certifications include AWS Certified Developer Associate or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate.
• Demonstrated experience implementing cloud security frameworks, IAM solutions, and cloud vulnerability assessments.
• Experience with SIEM tools, zero-trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls.
• Implement security controls and frameworks within cloud environments.
• Configure and manage IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
• Provide Cloud Security Compliance & Risk Report to ensure cloud operations meet DoD security requirements.

Description

• Cloud Security Engineers (Ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls.)
• Proposed personnel possess the knowledge and capability to implement security controls and frameworks within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security policies.
• Must be proficient in identity and access management (IAM), security monitoring, and cloud-native security solutions.
• Shall configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
• Shall develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
• shall provide the Cloud Security Compliance & Risk Report, ensuring all cloud-based operations remain in accordance with DoD security requirements.

Requirements

Experience

• Must have demonstrated experience in developing secure web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular, as well as API development with REST and GraphQL.
• Must have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including serverless architecture and CI/CD pipelines, is required.
• Desirable but not required certifications include AWS Certified Developer ‚Äì Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
• Must have demonstrated experience in implementing cloud security frameworks, configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
• Must have experience with SIEM tools, zero-trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring solutions is required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in cloud security engineering.
• Desirable but not required certifications include CISSP, AWS Certified Security ‚Äì Specialty, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
