Job summary

Endurion is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain cloud security controls for DoD and federal frameworks, including NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 and FedRAMP, with emphasis on IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust Architecture.

You will conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response in cloud environments, and develop System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field or 5+ years cloud security experience.
  • Experience implementing cloud security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2/4/5.
  • Experience configuring IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools and cloud-native security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain cloud security frameworks in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Configure and manage IAM solutions, RBAC, and ZTA controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor security events in cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain SSP, SAR, and POA&M documentation.

Job description

The Cloud Security Engineer supports mission-critical objectives under the referenced work order by implementing security controls and frameworks within cloud environments ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security policies. This role conducts vulnerability assessments, manages IAM solutions, and develops critical security documentation.

Job Description
  • The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud security frameworks ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL-4/IL-5 security mandates.
  • The position requires configuring and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
  • Engineers will conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response within cloud environments.
  • The role includes developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
Required Qualifications and Experience

The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field; or
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in cloud security engineering.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Implementing cloud security frameworks.
  • Configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
  • Working with SIEM tools and zero-trust architecture.
  • Utilizing cloud security monitoring solutions.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and security monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL security policies.
  • Proficiency in SIEM tools and cloud-native security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
  • Ability to develop and maintain security documentation (SSP, SAR, POA&M).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CISSP (Preferred, Not Required)
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty (Preferred, Not Required)
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (Preferred, Not Required)
Clearance Requirement

An active Secret security clearance is required, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance
