A leading IT consulting firm located in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, is looking for a Mid-Senior level professional for a one-year contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation and scripting languages such as Python and Go, alongside proficiency in infrastructure management and cloud services like AWS and Azure. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of previous program leadership and/or relevant consulting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in program management frameworks, knowledge groups, and life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby for automation and tooling.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, file systems, processes, and system configurations.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Chef to manage infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Understanding of DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and conduct post‑mortem reviews.
• Focus on automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in systems and applications.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams; create clear documentation.
• Define and monitor SLOs and SLAs; design systems for scalability.
• Apply security best practices, including access control and data encryption.

Base Pay Range

$75.00/hr - $90.00/hr

One Year Contract To Hire

Responsibilities

• Programming and Scripting: Proficient in Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby for automation and tooling.
• Systems Administration: Deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, file systems, processes, and system configurations.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Chef to manage infrastructure.
• Cloud Computing: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services such as EC2, S3, Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
• Containers & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Networking: Understanding of DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic; ability to set up dashboards and alerts.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• HashiCorp Vault & Terraform: Strong understanding enhances performance.
• Incident Management: Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and conduct post‑mortem reviews.
• Automation: Focus on automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in systems and applications.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross‑functional teams; create clear documentation and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Reliability & Scalability: Define and monitor SLOs and SLAs; design systems for scalability and fault tolerance.
• Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and secure coding; familiar with GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI‑DSS compliance standards.
