Google Cloud’s Mandiant team seeks a Security Consultant to help automate daily tasks in a Cyber Defense Center, collaborating across Architects, Analysts and IT staff to deliver automation that enhances security operations.

The role emphasizes configuring SOAR, integrating APIs, and supporting incident response with SIEM workflows. Applicants should have strong Python and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 3 years configuring and maintaining SOAR technologies in security roles.
• 3 years with SOC/CSIRT or incident response teams.
• Experience with SIEM solutions and basic scripting.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues in customer CDCs, plan automation improvements, and oversee execution.
• Advise on technologies used by CDC, CSIRT, and SOC.
• Provide expertise for SOAR and SOC technologies for incident response.
• Create and modify SOAR playbooks in Python.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to drive security issue resolutions.
