Cloud and Things in New York is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant to secure the PeopleSoft OCI deployment and build a hardened OCI landing zone. The role partners with IAM, Network, Data Security, Cloud Engineering, and DBA teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in OCI, PeopleSoft, and security engineering, with strong collaboration skills and experience securing enterprise cloud apps.

Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Security Consultant who will support our NYS client.

This role provides hands‑on security design, engineering, and oversight for the PeopleSoft OCI architecture, ensuring the environment is hardened, compliant, monitored, and aligned with cybersecurity standards. The consultant will partner with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, Cloud Engineering, DBA, and architecture teams to deliver a secure OCI landing zone and PeopleSoft deployment.

Duties:

• Provide hands‑on cloud security design, engineering, and oversight for the PeopleSoft OCI architecture and secure OCI landing zone.
• Design, implement, and oversee security controls to harden the environment and support compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Configure and assess OCI security capabilities, including policies, compartments, Security Zones, WAF, Load Balancing, Vault, Key Management, and network security controls.
• Support application security, DevSecOps, API security, CSPM, logging, monitoring, cloud audit logs, event metrics, and SIEM integration for the PeopleSoft OCI environment.
• Collaborate with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, Cloud Engineering, DBA, and architecture teams to deliver and maintain a secure PeopleSoft OCI deployment.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 4+years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience, including hands‑on cloud security engineering.
• 4+years of PeopleSoft experience.
• 4+years of cybersecurity and security engineering experience.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to design, implement, and oversee security controls for a secure PeopleSoft OCI deployment.
• Strong OCI experience with policies, compartments, Security Zones, OCI WAF, Load Balancing, Vault, Key Management, and network security including subnet design, firewalls, NAT, and private endpoints.
• Experience with CSPM tools such as Oracle Cloud Guard, Prisma, Wiz, or similar.
• Experience securing enterprise applications in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Application Security, DevSecOps, and API security.
• Knowledge of logging and monitoring, including SIEM, cloud audit logs, and event metrics.
• Ability to collaborate with architecture, DBA, AppSec, IAM, and network teams.
• Desirable Qualifications:
• PeopleSoft experience in enterprise cloud environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft architecture is preferred.
• Cloud security engineering experience with Azure and/or AWS as secondary cloud platforms.
