Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a security-focused engineer to monitor and validate Kubernetes and data lake deployments, ensuring compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD IL4/IL5 across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role requires experience with IAM, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), vulnerability assessment, and a strong background in security audits and incident response. Doral, Florida location with TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Must implement, monitor, and enforce security policies across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Proficient in NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL4/IL5 policies.
• Strong IAM, SIEM, zero-trust, and vulnerability framework knowledge.
• Experience conducting security audits and implementing DoD cybersecurity controls.
• Experience with security automation and incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate Kubernetes/data lake deployments for RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD IL4/IL5 requirements.
• Maintain continuous monitoring dashboards and run vulnerability scans of deployments.
• Prepare/update SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms for architecture/control changes.
• Enforce encryption, logging, and IAM/RBAC/audit policies across the data layer.
• Submit Security & Compliance Assessment Report summarizing controls.
• Demonstrate capability to implement, monitor, and enforce security policies across cloud and on‑prem environments.
