Job Overview

NeoDym Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to support the NCDOT DMV Modernization initiative and the development, configuration, security, and compliance of a Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The role will provide expert leadership across Azure security architecture, cloud operations, security compliance, and assessment.

The Cloud Security Architect will serve as a key technical bridge between NCDIT, NCDOT DMV, vendors, and technical teams to ensure that Azure environments and modernization systems meet security, regulatory, organizational, and industry compliance requirements. The position will involve secure architecture design across identity, networking, data protection, monitoring, logging, governance, and cloud security controls.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and maintaining secure Azure architectures.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing Azure security standards, policies, and reference architectures.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Azure-native security tools.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure security services and cloud security architecture.
  • Strong understanding of cloud identity and access management.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking and data protection.
  • Experience with cloud governance, security compliance, monitoring, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with government organizations, vendors, and technical teams.
