Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) to apply hands-on cloud security experience to frontier AI development. You will analyze real-world cloud failure patterns across AWS, GCP, and Azure and help validate AI-generated reasoning about security incidents.

You will review IAM, networking, storage, and container security, classify gaps, and provide structured feedback to improve AI security capabilities. This is a remote, hourly contract with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with production cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM, networking, storage, and container security.
• Experience with real-world misconfigurations and security incidents.
• Able to reason about blast radius, risk exposure and business impact.
• Strong written communication for documenting findings.

What You'll Do

• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud‑related failures based on real‑world impact
• Validate and improve AI‑generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI security capabilities

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
• Experienced with real‑world misconfigurations and security incidents
• Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and feedback
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently on task‑based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling (GuardDuty, Security Command Center, Defender for Cloud, etc.)
• Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or CSA CCM
• Prior experience with AI evaluation or data annotation workflows
